My Dave built mantle is perfect for the stocking hooks sold at LL Bean. How many stockings do I hang though. It was quite the decision. For Hadley I hung hers on a long nail between bricks and really love how it turned out.

The tiptop of the built ins in the great room are fun to decorate. I found the kid statues in Galena at a shop and they are just the right scale. The lantern wrapped with a tree pick and the flocked pine from Earthly Blessings in town complete this side.

On the hearth I choose a nice tall Santa from a shop in Galena. The sleigh is Pottery Barn and the birch logs from the floral shop in town. I added a greenery stick in frosty pine with a bright red velvet ribbon.

I love this hurricane at the holidays. With a pillar candle holder by Longaberger as well as the falling snow napkin they made, I put the Pottery Barn glass hurricane down and found a couple sticks of greenery I wrap at the base then let fill the space surrounding.

My Dave built floating shelves in the entry way are fun to decorate. I love the wrought iron reindeer, the frosted glass lantern filled with mini LEDs on an automatic timer and topped with greenery. The Peggy Karr holiday plate and candles collared in berries complete the display.

This candle holder used to have a glass sleeve until a couple of kids broke it so now it holds scented candles that fill the back hall with smells of the season.

My glass display shelving is adjustable and for the holidays I remove a shelf. I found my owls in Holiday dress and with a Peggy Karr plate and Longaberger sleigh this looks cute together.

I love the pop of color in the master bedroom. I change out our pick stitch cotton quilt by Pottery Barn for a deep red velvet one they sell. Only bad part is that its completely decorative. The backside is satin meaning its slippery and it holds no heat but it sure is pretty!
