It’s full steam ahead for this family and I tell you what, we’ve learned it’s best to get on board because we sure don’t want to be left behind.
2023 started off with a bang! Miss Leighton Edgar joined the family just after we celebrated big brother Hunters first birthday. Oh, these are precious times. Sarah is one busy mama. Despite her best attempts at leaving her position at the bank, she gave notice in July and is still working part time for them, she will finally be done in the middle of the month. She’s an even bigger part of the trucking business with Mitch now. She prides herself on her strict schedules and is still as organized as one can be.
The month of March blew in chilly and our numbers grew even more, Mr. Colton Waite arrived healthy on the 11th. Ryan and Brianna have much to be proud of. Bri quit working outside of the home and Ryan took a promotion. This will eventually land them in a different town in Montana as he is now a boss to several area recruiters. Hadley is in school four days a week and adores her little brother. She even changes diapers.
For the summer we enjoyed multiple trips to the Brodin Lakehouse over by Omaha and when weren’t there we were where ever the Edgar family parked their camper.
The first weekend in October Andrew and Briana tied the knot in a small ceremony. Ryan and Mitchell were in the wedding and the weather was beautiful for the outdoor festivities. Andrew is in his final year of his apprenticeship and is looking forward to being foreman to a project all his own.
As for our Emma, her family grew this year too! She and Jack welcomed the cutest little golden retriever, Miss Poppy. She’s so sweet and laid back. But even better than that that Jack proposed! I do so love hearing Mitch and now Jack’s tale of asking Dave for his blessing. Who knew he could be somewhat intimidating? Em is finishing up her degree and will graduate in May. She has already accepted a position at RSM where she interned this past summer. Jack graduates in 2025 and they are planning to get hitched that fall.
As for Dave and I we are overwhelmed by the many blessings we have. Seriously I tear up when I think of them all. Our children are healthy, thriving, they have goals and most importantly they are happy. We are grandparents to four, soon to be five grandchildren (insert winky face). Life is good! Life is busy and I think about it like a train with the whistle blowing, you better hop on and enjoy the ride because if you don’t you could get left behind.
We wish you joy, peace and love this holiday season.
